Creativity Abhors a Vacuum

We all have egos. The act of creating something from nothing is in itself an egotistical thing. But over the years I've learned that no matter what your ego tells you, you don't create your best work in a vacuum. You need people around you to push you further, to critique your work so you can make something that's as good as it possibly can be.

Having just recently put my new iPhone app live through creativeapplications.net I think the app is much better because of the process of working with someone who pushed me to make it better. Filip from creativeapplications would make insightful comments about the design; things I hadn't noticed for one reason or another. Because I respected his Opinion (and that is a must in the relationship) I took his comments on board and the end creative output was much better because of it.

At the time of writing the feedback about the app has been wonderful and currently stands at number four in the news category in the UK. I'd like to think part of the reason is because of the time taken to craft the product through a considered, respectful process were the end goal is to make something worthwhile and beautiful. http://accidentalnewsexplorer.com/
