It meant staying up till 3am but it was a blast! BD4D.2 NYC took place at the Remote Lounge last night and via the modern wonders of technology (well , iChat AV), I presented 2 pieces of work at the gig while I sat in my office at home. Not that I’m advocating this is the way forward (heaven forbid - I like to meet people and see places!) but it was a great experiment that worked surprisingly well. The first thing I showed was the Manhattan Project, a little project I created for the mN site that takes live webcam images from the streets of NYC and then creates an abstract reworking of that image. After that was a short little video homage to that great city. Check out some pictures from the event including some screen grabs during the video chat.
