I’m really excited to be attending and speaking at this year’s South By Southwest Interactive in Austin, where myself and Jim Coudal will be doing a session on Sunday morning called “How to make your short attention span pay dividends”. Don’t expect any kind of fancy slick slides - we’re going back to the old school with good old fashioned talking and debate about getting on and making things rather than just talking about making things.
I’m also going to be doing a book signing (date TBC) for AIDO. As a small experiment I’m planning on dishing out limited edition digital souvenirs for your mobile (cell) phone via the wonders of Bluetooth. These will be images from the book as well as new images created especially for SxSW. So if you attend the book signing, turn on the Bluetooth connection on your phone for some digital freebies!

Oh and a small update. I’m making good progress with my newly acquired Chumby (thanks to Shawn and FITC), creating a visual album browser for my Squeezebox. All the flash side is built and working great (which I’ll release as a standalone thing anyway), I’ve just got a few bugs to fix before I get it running correctly on the Chumby. I’ll keep you posted.

Having had a brief brief look prior to tucking into steak sandwiches the other day, this is going to be sooo cool, I’m excited.
