Finally moved over to Mac OS 10.2 just before Christmas and I’m totally lovin’t it! Still not had one single crash, still not had to do a force reboot. I’ve got OSX on 2 iMacs, one G4 and the other a G3 version.

And the software rocks too. The way Apple have done the integration between iPhoto, iMovie and iTunes is fantastic. It actually reminds me of a concept Kai Krause from MetaCreations had back in the day - I think it’s codename was ‘Amazon’. Anyway, the idea was a suite of apps that talked to each other, and shared functionality. The iApps go a long way to creating that concept.

While there’s a lot of great interface enhancements to OSX, as usual you sometimes need to add the odd shareware app to add some additional functionality. Two of my faves at the moment are Drop Drawers and Kanfabulator. Konfabulator is very cool - create desktop widgets using JavaScript and XML that intergrate into the desktop environment. Now all I gotta do is think of an idea I can make into a widget!
