    Dear Sir/Madam,
I recently attended your Drag Slide Fade session in San Francisco and felt compelled to write. During your session you mentioned some new “Classes”. I would very much like to attend these classes, particularly the one on “dragging”. I have already accumulated a substantial wardrobe in preperation.

On a seperate note, there were several sessions which I did not attend at the conference, if I send you my banking details, could you please forward a refund for these sessions.

Yours, trying hard to like your work - John

    Dear John,

It comes as no surprise that you have an extensive wardrobe in the “drag” line. Unfortunately our classes to pursue such activities is currently full due to the large amount of nutjobs I come into contact with on a day to day basis.

May I suggest our next class - Slide where we will practice the art of the James Brown slide. “Get up offa that thing”!

    Dear Sir/Madam,

The “Slide” classes sound very interesting. Will I need any specialist equipment? I will be popping out to the shops in the morning and have the choice of a large variety of outlets to choose from. I sometimes just like to wander around the shopping area where I live rather than shop for something specific. Do you? I suppose I am digressing, but am interested because many of your public (myself included) would never get a chance to talk to you on a personal matter such as shopping habits.

I have a friend who has heard of James Brown and tells me that he is a singer. Is this correct? If I buy any equipment for the class would I get re-imbursed? I have a friend who has some curly silver plastic which can be used to enhance rythmic movement.

I ask about re-imbursement because apart from the sessions at Flashforward I didn’t attend, that I would like you to refund me for, I bought one of your early books, which I have subsequently scratched the CD from. I once saw an episode of Tomorrow’s World which said that CD’s were indestrucatable so would appreciate a refund for the CD, and as I have read the book, and am not likely to re-read it, would like a refund on the book too.

By the way, I slept much of my return flight back to the UK, and missed one of the meals. Would you be able to add some discount to my “Slide” class instead of a refund for the meal?

I look forward in anticipation to your prompt reply.

By the way, I am trying very hard to understand and like your books and website(s). I am a big fan of the wooden effect that you have at the top of your page for example. I also very much like the way that you manage to scatter the odd photo throughout your pages, although as a point of warning, I should ask you whether you meant to place a photo of yourself in shorts on your site? Is that not inappropriate clothing for the climate we are experiencing in the UK?

I could go on for hours, but I have to do some defragging.

    Yours, a faithful fan.

    John

All in all, a very lovely time was had at the ol’ FFSF, what?

Camaraderie, interaction, ‘dancing’ (if you could call it that) — and those lovely go-go girls, too.

I can’t quite remember what that first drink at ‘Vic’s was called, nor can I remember much past the second one, but as I eventually made it back home w/o too many additional scars, I guess I had fun.

Now that I’m trying to apply what I learned at the conference ‘though, it’s all quite dodgy– ah well, there’s enough scotch downstairs to last ’til the weekend, I’ll try again then.

    cheers.

Thanks to everyone who attended my session today at Flashforward. Hope it was worth it! As promised I’ve uploaded the brand new Drag Slide Fade 2.0 Class Library, so have a play and let me know what you think. Documentation is now included with the download and is also available here and online.

Remember if you have pictures from the conference, upload them to Flickr with a flashforward tag.

Oh - and that Interpol track I played was a remix of a track called “Untitled”.
