OK. So maybe I’ve become addicted to constantly screwing about with Wordpress themes. Maybe I need help. But this version I’m really happy with.
First off I’ve gone with using a large Flash background with various videos that get randomly chosen. Then I’ve overlaid the HTML over the top. If you want to do the same just make sure you set WMODE to transparent in your Flash embed parameters. But be warned it doesn’t seem to work in Linux with Firefox. I displayed the excerpts of the posts in a super tiny unreadable font - not as something you should read but as more of a graphic device so to speak. By using float:left I then get a nice random layout based on the length of the titles.
The post pages themselves are set out so you can read em - after all I guess some people find the stuff on here useful/interesting some of the time.
I really like this use of Flash and Wordpress. There’s no reason why the Flash backgrounds could not pertain to the posts or the catergories too. That would be super easy to do.
Thanks for your patience while I continue to play with this stuff.

wow, that is very cool and inspiring! I’ve been playing around with wordpress themes a lot too, and this just blows the possibilities wide open!
