This site has always had a very selfish aim in that it’s focused on being a place where I can publish my latest experiments, code and projects. It’s never been a place where I post links that often to other stuff or even thoughts about things I’ve seen or bumped into.

So, I’ve been looking at finding some way to post transient findings. Things that I think about, find interesting or just general random stuff that might not seem to have any purpose. I looked at Twitter, which is great but I didn’t really want to post my movements or even post that often everyday - which is where I think Twitter’s strength lies. So instead I opted for the wonderful Tumblr. On first glance you might think it’s just another blog system. But it’s not. It’s been made to allow quick posts including photos and video, not long pieces of text or in depth blog posts - and that’s perfect for what I need. And it has some great tools for posting from my phone and the like.

This site will always remain brendandawes hq (if there is such a thing), but over at bjdawes.tumblr.com you’ll get a steady stream of crap - some of which (hopefully) you may find interesting!
