Analog In Digital Out / 2007

My second solo book, Analog In Digital Out was a collection of my thoughts on interaction design in its widest possible context. The book was certainly eclectic featuring amongst other things: books wrapped in brown paper, bits of code, cheese, hardware hacks, Play-Doh and stories of origami swans left for me on a train.

My favourite comment about the book is from Andy Polaine, co-founder of the legendary Antirom:

“It reminded me very much of the approach we took at Antirom. It’s really about playing with these new forms, technologies and cultures and trying to discern some interesting features about them and the underlying language. Any interaction designer, all students and pretty much anyone else involved in coming up with ideas for a living should have a copy.”
