It’s really beautiful. I would buy one, if you had something other than Get Carter. I mean, c’mon. Get Carter?

Can I just make it very clear that it’s the original Micheal Caine version - probably the greatest british gangster movie ever made, not the disgrace of a remake with Sly Stallone! But yeah - I’m going to be doing others too…

    Hi Brendan,

A friend of mine sent me your URL because he found your work to be very much in sync with mine. I’ve been doing the same thing except with entire days and now weeks of television. I invite you to have a look at my work: http://www.matthewbelanger.com/. The series I’m referring to is called Television Set and you’ll find it in the Photo section of my website. Sorry, it’s a Flash site or I’d send you a more direct URL. Maybe we should start a dialog over email?

    Hey Brendan,

Great work!! I would definatly buy one of your posters if you had one movie on one poster (standard one sheet size). Keep up the experiments!

A sort of follow on from the Don’t Look Now thing, Cinema Redux explores the idea of distilling a whole movie down into one single image. I built a little app in processing that takes a sample every second from a film and builds up an image for the entire film. The guys over at Processing very kindly featured it in the exhibition area of the site, where you can find the source code too. Framed prints of the project are available to buy online.
